I wonder if we can create a place where we can live with a sense of connection to the environment and society. To live and to work.
My garden and my neighbor's green space. My land, other people's land. We have created a place with a space and a mechanism that allows us to directly and indirectly feel the connection between things that are usually hard to feel.
I thought about expanding the idea of living a little, and sharing a part of my life with others to make life more enjoyable, or even to become a job.
I drink a lot of coffee, so I make coffee for other people.→ Like a café
The more you cook, the better the food will taste→ Like a restaurant
A large bookshelf with books by neighbors → Like a library
It's more fun to watch a movie together → Like a movie theater
We hope that by sharing things and things that we enjoy and that we can share with others, a natural community will be fostered.

This is a plan to create "a place where children will want to stop by + housing" in a new residential area in Chiba Prefecture.
In this area, there are many households where both parents work, and there is not much sign of human presence during the daytime.
Therefore, the first floor will be used as a café and an office, where people are always present, creating a watchful eye for the community.
Since children are often seen playing in the cul-de-sac that borders the site, we built a path through the site that connects to the cul-de-sac, not only as an extension of the playground, but also to make the cul-de-sac more visible to the public.
The buildings are placed on both sides of the path, and are intended to overflow with activity against the path. In this way, even though the site is facing north and tends to be dark, light, wind, and line of sight can pass through comfortably.
It is a place that is built in response to a part of the city, where the use of the building is ambiguous and its usage is to be discovered. We hope that it will soften the atmosphere of the new residential area, even if only a little.

HOUSE H
The house before rebuilding had stayed in the shadow because the location that had been surrounded by many buildings had been bad.
That's why the room hadn't got much sunlight, and the potted plants that had been outside had been losing their energy in the dimly-lit place.
So we started designing the best places for plants with the owner who loves plants.
First of all, we set up the garden on the second floor of the north side which has been the best place of getting a lot of sun and hasn't backlit. And then we put some plants in it.
Secondly, we tilted the ceiling that we coated the surface of with reflective material.
By doing so, we have projected the shape of the plants that can not be seen from the first floor as a virtual image on the ceiling.
On the second floor, there has been the space that is full of greenery and it's as if we were absorbed in looking into a kaleidoscope of plants.
We expect that the space which the plants and architecture create has people who adapt to diverse changes like day-to-day moment by moment feel pleasure.

A two-family house in Shirokane, Tokyo.
The site is like a valley created by the ridges of the surrounding buildings, and plants were gathered at the bottom of the valley.
Therefore, we created a number of cross-sectional gardens within the site and planted them so that the greenery would be continuous with the surroundings.
The two households share the garden both in plan and in section, and are able to maintain a gentle distance from each other.

This house uses the greenery around the site as a borrowed landscape. The sunlight shining on the greenery makes the interior sparkle.
For the client, who is a very busy person, we designed the house not only to create a comfortable space, but also to emphasize functionality, as if the house would support the client.
